Golf on the green

Golf practice with a purpose! See all of the resources below we have for you that help you learn more efficiently and quickly, play better and have more fun!

We encourage practice in between lessons; individuals can book time to practice where Paul, Chris or Justin will monitor your practice to ensure the corresponding drills are being done properly so you are practicing with a purpose.

Year Round Instruction

Students will learn how to take the skills learned during the off-season and transfer them to the golf course.

Year-Round Training Programs are designed to work on all aspects of the individual’s game. Off-season indoor skill development programs typically focus on golf fitness and full swing and short game modifications that will benefit the player once the golf season starts.

In-season coaching programs emphasize course management, the short game and on-course applications of swing skills learned during the off-season. Course management, unique course situations and short-game decisions are some of the other situations that would be covered on the course.

Private lessons

Our coaches are well-versed in instructing all aspects of the game of golf.

Students attending a one-hour lesson can expect to receive a full analysis of their full swing or short-game fault accompanied by video, a written diagnosis and explanation of drills that should be completed to address the flaw.

Our students that sign up for 10 & 20 Session Coaching Programs can expect to first complete a full-game assessment and then receive a roadmap that will illustrate how our sessions will be spent and how their practice time should be utilized.

New Student Assessment

The fact is, getting started on the road to better golf can be a bit daunting. That’s why we’ve developed the New Student Assessment at Golf Channel Academy.

We know there are a lot of options out there when it comes to golf instruction, and just as many questions.

  • Where do I start?
  • Which coach is best for me?
  • What is the time commitment?

The New Student Assessment affords you the opportunity to meet and interact with one of our coaches at the facility in a relaxed, nurturing environment. Your coach will take the time to evaluate your game and recommend programs that align with your goals, available time and resources. It’s a smart first step in your journey to shoot consistently lower scores and have more fun playing golf.

New Students

There is no obligation to commit to additional instruction following your New Student Assessment. If you decide to move forward with us, you can expect your coach to walk you through all of the necessary steps to mastering the desired skill, so that you can take your game to the next level and sustain it for years to come.

New Student Assessment Entails:

  • A discussion with your coach about your goals, physical fitness, current skill level, etc.
  • Video analysis and feedback of your swing.
  • A thorough evaluation of your game to pinpoint your strengths and weaknesses.
  • A summary including a suggested plan aligned with your needs and expectations.

Custom Fitting

I believe that being properly fit for your equipment is as vital to your success as is receiving one-on-one instruction.

Golfers don’t typically buy equipment every year; therefore, my process of fitting clubs is somewhat deliberate, thus ensuring that the equipment you are buying is perfect for your swing and body type. I also believe that the instructor is the best person to fit their student’s equipment. I mean, who knows their student’s flaws better than their own instructor?

My fitting process starts with correctly fitting the lie, length, shaft flex and type, grip and clubhead design of a set of irons. Next, I will fit the driver. Once the new equipment is received I will meet with the student again to match wedge distances and fit hybrids and fairway woods between their longest iron and driver. This process eliminates redundancies and makes sure the gaps between each club are appropriate.
